Jump Correctly: The Lost Program

Jump Correctly: The Lost Program is the demanding and punishing follow-up to our previous game, Jump Correctly. More floppy disks to collect, more flowers to eat, more old guy to talk to, and featuring an all new soundtrack - The Lost Program will test the limits of your puzzle-platforming skills through 30 kaizo inspired levels across 6 exciting biomes. Do you have what it takes to complete it in one go, or as they say, to jump correctly...?

How to Play

• Jumps: You jump in this game (as long as your eyes are blue, even if you're not on the ground).
• Waterfalls: Refill your water tank while underneath waterfalls. A full tank grants you an additional jump.
• Computers: Finding all of the floppies in a room activates the computer. Enter it to teleport to the next room.
• Flowers: Hmm... try eating one...

Controls

• X: Shoot/ Menu Confirm
• Z: Jump/ Menu Exit
• Arrow Keys: Move/ Aim
• Enter/P: Pause Menu
• Up/ Down: Enter computer 
• Down + X: Hold for 4 seconds to reset level (intentional death)

About this project

It became clear during the development of Jump Correctly that we simply had too many level ideas to fit in one cartridge. Initially we experimented with loading map data from additional carts as some larger Pico-8 games do. In the end we chose to simply divide the levels into two versions, essentially normal and hard modes, and release them as two standalone carts. Specifically, here we lean into our kaizo roots in an attempt deliver something for fans of the first game who desire much harder challenge. We hope you enjoy!
