Jump Correctly
Jump Correctly
Jump Correctly is a puzzle platformer set across 30 hand-crafted levels in the fast paced and chaotic world of our previous adventure, It's OK to Jump Down. The simulation has been corrupted. The backup files are missing. Your only means of restoring time and space are through intricate movements and your sheer intuition, or as they say, by jumping correctly...
How to Play
- Jumps: You jump in this game (as long as your eyes are blue, even if you're not on the ground).
- Waterfalls: Refill your water tank while underneath waterfalls. A full tank grants you an additional jump.
- Computers: Finding all of the floppies in a room activates the computer. Enter it to teleport to the next room.
- Flowers: Hmm... try eating one...
Controls
- X: Shoot/ Menu Confirm
- Z: Jump/ Menu Exit
- Arrow Keys: Move/ Aim
- Enter/P: Pause Menu
- Up/ Down: Enter computer
- Down + X: Hold for 4 seconds to reset level (intentional death)
Game pad highly recommended
About this project
During the development of It's OK to Jump Down, we began thinking about reworking the game's design into a linear format, partially inspired by Ryan's experience with kaizo SMW. Specifically, we were interested in pivoting to hand-built levels to see how the previous mechanics would fit, as well as what new ones we could come up with. This was a great opportunity to take the lessons learned from Jump Down and build something from scratch that better utilizes the limitations and creative potential of Pico-8. We are very proud of it and we hope you enjoy!

I’ve been playing this on my Android emulation device (Retroid Classic). Really been enjoying it, I feel like I haven’t played a good, simple puzzle platformer in so long.
Thanks! Do you commonly play Pico-8 on your retroid? I actually just set up Pico-8 on my RP4 today through winlater, looking forward to seeing how games feel on it.
I’ve only been doing it for a few weeks actually, just recently learned it was possible through Winlator. Works well enough! Good sound, smooth performance, controls are no issue.
Only thing I’ve seen is that if I leave it running in the background for more than a few hours, it gets really sluggish with low framerates and glitchy music. Wonder if there’s a memory leak somewhere. Not a big deal, especially for Pico-8 games that save like this one.
Excellent stuff, so many amazing effects and the fun factor is out of this world.
